Mini Shacks offers custom built homes and cottages, that range from 450 sq ft to 1320 square feet and are Ideal for starter homes, retirement homes and secondary housing solutions. All our homes are built inside a factory by one of Canada's biggest home builders and are CSA A277 and CSA Z240 compliant. Our build times right now are an impressive 90-120 days from sign off. 

One of the most important aspects of small homes is functionality and the use of space. We think a small home should feel big but have a small footprint. Our homes range from 12 feet wide up to 20 feet wide and maintain a high level of architectural integrity, we want to show that small homes and park models can be beautiful and functional. Each home is designed with the client to ensure we meet all expectations. The floor plans we show are just for inspiration or a starting point, we tailor each home to each client.

Our homes are CSA A277 and CSA Z240 compliant so our homes will meet residential building codes which is a must to get proper permitting for your new home. We can help you with your development permits. Beware that when you look at a "TINY HOME" most of them have a CSA Z240RV designation that is designated for RV use only, they will not meet any residential requirements so unless you want to live in a campground a tiny home will do you absolutely no good. Our Park Model Homes are CSA Z241 compliant and are built very similar to our residential grade homes. Our park model homes  incorporate innovative designs that make them feel much larger than the 538 square feet that we are allowed. We believe your park model home should reflect your personality and style. Working closely with our clients, we understand their unique needs and preferences, creating homes that exceed expectations. 

With our homes being self-contained we don't have the expense of a basement, our homes can be placed on wood piers or screw piles and finished with a high quality skirting package.
